After a year's long search, our beloved Maye River Gallery is returning to Old Town Bluffton. The new Maye River Gallery will be opening in early Fall 2023 and will be located on the corner of Boundary and Church Streets. Renovations are currently underway. The gallery promises to be "better than ever" states Judy Saylor McElynn, one of MRG's founding artists. The new space will embrace Bluffton's exciting destination for visual arts, providing 2D, 3D, textiles, ceramics and jewelry, encompassing the "Lowcountry vibe," keeping within the South Carolina Arts Commission's designation for Bluffton as a beacon for the arts. Downtown Bluffton received the coveted award as one of nine designated cultural districts within the state. The Arts Commission uses its designated areas for tourism promotion and visitor information, introducing the public to the beauty and allure of the South Carolina Lowcountry. The gallery will showcase MRG's well-known artists, as well as several new artisans, rounding out and complimenting the gallery's deep lineup of talent. The new address will be 16 Church Street, Suite 100. Stay tuned for ongoing information regarding the gallery's Grand Opening Event as well as other festivities coming soon. We can't WAIT!
